Each word search presents the English word first, followed by its corresponding Kriolu word. While not claiming perfection, this book is an exciting and valuable start on the journey to language preservation. Please note: Cape Verdean Kriolu is a living language, with variations found among its regional dialects. Spelling and vocabulary are still evolving—this book uses ALUPEC (Alfabeto Unificado para a Escrita do Caboverdiano), the official standardized writing system. 

Some variations within the Sotavento dialect may appear, reflecting language as it’s truly spoken. Guided by the principle of "descriptive linguistic evolution," we respect these authentic differences, honoring every local and family way Kriolu is learned and used.
